ANNA by Michael Sisley

Our entry this year is the brilliant play written by the late Michael Sisley, a long-time member of HADS and with which he won the best new play award in 1971. The play is set in Northern France towards the end of world war two and beautifully illistrates the pointlessness of war. It is performed largely in French and German but is so written that the audience understands everything that is going on.
